This is my first ever post on my first ever blog. I look forward to letting you into my head on whatever I decide to write about. Right now this blog is very plain and it may stay that way, or it may become more decorative. I just dont know right now.
Anyway, I am going to Thailand on business for 2 weeks leaving the US on March 2, 2008. I would ask that you pray for my trip all around.
Pray for the following:
A safe plane ride; from takeoff to landing
Me discerning the cultural differences between the US and Thailand
Being open to the people of Thailand and the people of Thailand welcoming me
My resistance to many types of temptations in Thailand
Me listening and being obedient to God's call while I am there, in any way He sees fit
Gods total protection of me no matter where I am while i am there
Peace and patience for Janine as she will be the primary parent while I am away (although I can only imagine how much more peaceful it will be with me gone, LOL)
That Kyla and Jada behave and respect Janine in my absence
While I am there, I will be blogging here so keep this link handy or subscribe to my blog through an RSS reader or a blog feeder if your blog savvy.
I started learning some of the language. Some sayings I am sure I will say a lot while I am there:
Sawatdee Khrab or just Sawatdee (Hello or Good by)
Sabai dee mai (How are you)
Sabai dee (I am fine)
I will probably end up saying these two phrases more than I want to:
Mai ow khrab (I don't want any)
Mai mee dtung (I don't have any money)
and hopefully I wont have to say this at all:
Ker-ree bai ma lao (I need a bail bondsman)
LOL!! Im kidding thats not what that means.
Anyway, watch the blog, I will also be posting pictures.
Thanks for you prayers.

Welcome to the blogging World. So you going away on business for 2 weeks is why you are so excited for Kyla to go on the Wyldlife Winter Weekend...it'll be right towards the end and time for Janine to get a little break. I'm j/k.
You're in my prayers- Thailand will definitely be an interesting place, and hopefully you can bring some of God's love to the people of the country. :D
